The PowerFam journey started in 2018 in Ottawa, Canada.

We saw many parents struggling to play with their young kids without feeling bored of their kids’ easy games. On the other hand, parents liked the ‘educational’ games but kids soon zoned out. Is there a way for the whole family to play, learn and have fun with no one bored? We set out to solve this gap. After multiple discussions and prototypes the current edition of PowerFam was born. Parents loved it at home. Teachers loved it in the classroom. And children loved it everywhere! We have been self-funding this initiative to date. However, before we take the next step of finalizing manufacturing quantities, need to right size demand. Your pre-orders will help us.

Paul Brown advises the PowerFam team. He has worked for the Ottawa Catholic School Board for 27 years. He has Bachelor degrees from Simon Fraser University and the University of Ottawa. The first part of Paul's career was spent working with students who have varying learning disabilities. In the last 17 years Paul has been entrusted to guide thousands of students with course selections, post-secondary options, personal issues and mapping out possible career goals. He works with College Preparation International helping student athletes with SAT preparation in their pursuit of post-secondary options in the United States. Paul’s total adherence to student-centred approach allows him to be very sensitive and responsive to individuals and to situations. Respect for self and for others is the cornerstone of his personal and professional philosophies. Paul is an excellent advocate for his students.

Ottawa Food Bank provides fresh and non-perishable food and other essential supplies to its network of over 100 emergency food programs across the city of Ottawa. They distribute about 14 tons of food each day. They are running special campaigns to ensure no child goes hungry due to the COVID-19 pandemic and thousands of children get the food they need to grow and thrive during these difficult times. Every $1 dollar donated to Ottawa Food Bank helps them deliver $5 of food to the community, because they obtain food in large quantities and have amazing food industry partners and supporters.

For the first 200 confirmed orders, $5 per sale will be shared with Ottawa Food Bank.
